Hi everyone,
I'm starting this thread for those applying to Sacramento State's Traditional BSN program for Fall 2025. Let's use this space to share our experiences, questions, and support throughout the application process.
Best of luck to you next year!!

Local Admission Area
A student transferring with the majority of units from one or more of the following community colleges is considered to be in Sacramento State's local admission area: American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake, Lake Tahoe, Sacramento City, Sierra, San Joaquin Delta, Solano, Woodland, and Yuba.
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are satisfied with the admissions decisions that were announced last week. Simple ways to improve your score include optional criteria; regardless of your background, volunteer experience can increase your score by up to 3 points. Additionally, I've heard that you don't need to be fluent to be considered proficient and to benefit from the bilingual evaluation points. I relied on a TEAS score in the high 90s and omitted a couple of Bs from my GPA to gain acceptance. I hope those assigned as alternates surpass the cutoff and receive an offer for a seat in the program.
I attempted to apply during the Spring but wasn't ready because I had too many courses in progress, so I applied for Fall 2025 and was able to omit more from my GPA. Don't lose hope. If I can do it, so can you!
Congratulations if you are reading and will be joining me in the Fall!

Hi all, I'll be applying to Sac State next fall and I was wondering if any of you know what exactly "environmental background" counts as? I go to community college in the Concord, Pleasant Hill area, and I'm not sure if my college counts as a local community college. Congrats on all your guys' acceptances :)
