I didn't get to any of the ADN programs I applied to 😢 😭

Right now it's CSULA and CSUF

Anyone hear back about interviews yet?

I still haven't submitted my application through cal state apply bc I have an old application to another school from Fall 2023 and it uses that same application but I've since completed more classes. I can't update my application bc everything is locked. I emailed csula asking what to do but im waiting for an email back 😭 anyone have the same problem by chance?

No news of interview :(( I logged into myCalStateLA ID but for some reason can't login to GET where I should be able to see my admissions stuff

Update: I got invited for an interview! It's scheduled for next Friday.

I hope I don't fumble it! Anyone have any advice?

Yayy congrats!! I will say it's better to be over prepared †han being under. I already did two nursing school interviews and passed both of them. From those experiences I will say try to sound very genuine and its okay to take a few seconds to think and then answer. Did they mention if it's in person or online interview? Are you the only one who is getting interviewed or is it a group interview?

After you guys submitted your CSULA applications, did you have to immediately send your official transcripts to the admissions office? Best of luck to all you guys!

Also, if you guys don't mind, what were some of your stats when you guys were applying? Cheers!

Thanks for your patience.

Just had the interview today. It's a solo interview; just you and two interviewers. I would says it's a pretty chill interview.

Tell us about yourself

Why CSULA

How would your family describe you

Are the ones I remember. In total it was about 8-10 questions but no scenario situations.

I think I did an excellent job, tbh. But I won't FIND OUT UNTIL MARCH 28 X . X

I also don't know any of my stats LOL

TEAS was like 89 or 90 %

Undergrad GPA 3.42 I think

My GPA for the bio, micro bio, ochem, anat and physio (retakes) was 4.0; I did these across the past 3 years

I worked as a medical translator for 2 years, and in health care outreach for 4.

Geriatric personal trainer for 5 years

Hey I'm glad that you did great in the interview! Hopefully you get in! Do you know how many people get interviewed? So, from your interview experience is it more of a vibe check than actually trying to grill you with questions? Was there any writing section part of the interview or was it all juyst questions? I'm very nervous for this one since I really want to get in :((

Congrats on the interview! May I ask how long it took for them to get back to you about the interview once you submitted the CSU Apply app?

It took about a week or so. They got back pretty week. I was also one of the first interviews they said. Maybe they will reach out to more people soon.

Hi CheeseInTheTrap!

Yeah, It's more of a vibe check to see if you are prepared for the workload, handle the stress, and why you want to do nursing. It is essentially all questions for 20 minutes but it didn't feel like I was being grilled. More like a conversation.

When is your interview?

I was super nervous too! My friend recommended avoid trying to memorize answers that I practiced, but to remember key points. So if I fail to remember every word I wrote down, I wouldn't panic and draw a blank.

I youtubed nursing interview questions, wrote them down and answered them several times. I practiced my answers with my friends as well.
