UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

Hi all!

I wanted to start a forum for students who applied to CSULB's nursing program for Spring 2026. I turned in all parts of my application and I'm just waiting to hear back...super uneasy about what my CASPER will look like! Please leave any updates, advice, or questions, good luck everyone 🙂

I read through so many forums and based on everything, and I think they get back to us first to second week of October 😭. I saw people getting emails about the communication exercise October 4th or 8th. Hopefully we get one too! Are you transferring from a CC too?

Yea I'm transferring from Orange Coast College. I'm kinda nervous since I'll be out of country for the first week of October.

Sept 4 casper results are out! I got 3rd quartile, hoping it's enough 😬

OMG thank you for the update! I just checked and I got 4th quartile, hopefully CSULB gets back to us all soon😭

There was a nursing zoom meeting that they held yesterday, and they said they took applicants from all quartiles last fall

Were you guys asked for your extracurriculars or licenses or hours at all? I'm wondering how they admit since I don't remember there being any section to add that info in.

No I wasn't. I asked an advisor about it, and they'll said that they'll address it in the communication exercise? But from what I read about the one last fall, I think we have like a minute or so to talk about our "community engagement" and then everything else about the interview was kinda the same? IDK tbh

Ik it's all so confusing! I think I saw in one video that before the communication exercise we send a 150 word paragraph detailing everything too. So thats probably how they record/remember everything.

Just got my communication exercise email! Looks like they do want community engagement in writing by the 8th
