Hey ya'll just wanted to start the topic for Cal State Long Beach Fall 2024 Nursing Applications. I previously got rejected (from waitlist) from Long Beach for the Spring semester so I'm taking a gap semester and hoping to get in this Fall. I know Long Beach doesn't consider service outside military but I did mention I'm working as an EMT during my interview which I believe helped me a little in the communication exercise. Feel free to share your own stats and goodluck everyone!

(I applied in the Spring with a 90.1 overall and a 79 reading so I recently retook it this December and these are my current stats)

Science GPA: 4.0

Gen ED GPA: 4.0

TEAS Cumulative: 94.2%

TEAS Reading: 94%

Impact Score: 9.764

Impact Score Formula: (Science GPA) + (Gen ED GPA/2) + (TEAS Overall x .02) + (TEAS Reading x .02)

does anyone know how long current CSULB students wait to hear back following the comm exercise?

How does everyone feel about their performance?

Really good it wasn't as intense as I thought it would be and Im glad that those chose questions that were meaningful to our values/past experiences

I agree, I think it was a very calm interview process. Another comment mentioned this and I felt it was very true, that the interview was more of a formality to ensure to could write and speak English. Hoping to hear back soon.

I got waitlisted with a 9.44. Honestly didn't expect to even make it this far.

How long do admitted folks have to accept/deny offers so I know about when to start checking ?

Are you a current CSULB student or transfer? I'm pretty they stated in the communications exercise waitedlisted people who stay on the waitlist will have the opportunity to be accepted up until the semester starts due to some people dropping out or being unable to accept their placement due to external circumstances.

Im surprised they sent out word regarding your status cause I'm pretty sure they said we'd hear back late march (I don't really consider it late yet)/early April.

I wouldn't be too worried. Seeing that your impact score is so high, you're definitely in the upper echelon of the waitlist, and there's always a bunch that get in through the waitlist.

I'm wondering that too cause I feel like we'd have more people here saying that they got waitlisted.. perhaps they're rolling out waitlist people first then sending out acceptances/denials.

from what I've heard, they send out waitlists, rejections, and acceptances all at once, but yeah, maybe they are still sending them out. I'm so scared and nervous now

I haven't heard anything back either. From last year's posts it looks like they received their decisions on the Monday of week 2 after their communication exercise. So, hopefully we will see more decisions this upcoming week. Good luck to everyone!
