California Results and work permit

Hi I'm new here and first and foremost, I wanna say I really like this site and am thankful I found this. Makes a lot of difference to know there's a lot of people going through the same thing as me.

Anyways, I have a question regarding the test results..I just took the nclex last march 7 and anxiously waiting for the result. Now, I know CA doesn't have quick results but my additional concern is I won't have a work permit until june/july. Now does that mean they can't post any license online just in case I passed and will I ever get the result at all even just by mail..?

Any help would be appreciated. And sorry if it's somewhat in the wrong thread. =)

Moved your post to the International forum. Ca will not issue you with a license until in the US with a valid work permit and a SSN, therefore you will not see your name on the website. Can I ask what sort of work permit you are looking at with you stating that you won't have a work permit until June/July

I'm an international student and in our status, we can request for employment authorization after we finished our degree. So I applied for it around february but accdg. to our international student office, it won't be given to me until june/july.

I'm contemplating on calling the board today just to check what they do with situations like this. Cause I don't exactly know where I stand.

Does anyone have similar situation like mine?

You are aware of retrogression and no work permits are available? I take it you have applied for OPT and if things haven't changed by the time OPT is up there may be no way for you to file AOS and stay in the US unless you continue as a student. You still need a SSN to be issued with a license
