John Muir Hospital

I understand that John Muir in the Concord area has a new grad RN program. Do you have to go through this 5-6 month program before being able to work there? Does anyone know how much the hospital pays new grads in this program and would you suggest applying for this or going the other route and working at a hospital where they orient you to the unit for 6 weeks or so? Are there additional classes you have to take in these programs? I'm not sure what I want to do after I graduate and would like to know the benefits of both. Thank you.

ells08,

how recently did you graduate and where did you graduate from? just wondering what (if any) they based their call backs on.

Thanks!

hey all u new grads looking to get a job at John Muir!

Good luck to all you applying.

I have posted about 5-6 messages about my experience interviewing at John Muir and my educational background. just do a search for john muir and it will come up

i work at john muir and am currently in their new grad program.

Rianna1-

I got my RN this summer (Aug). I didn't actually graduate yet. A bit confusing since I am in a "Master's Entry" program, but I just finished the RN part and took a leave of absence to get some RN work experience. Hope that answers your question. Good luck!

hey ells08, did you get the position at john muir last year? gillijr1001, are you still working at john muir?

Hey CM21,

I am still working at john muir in walnut creek.

Is John Muir open right now for New Grad RN applicants? I wish you could help. I've been searching for a job for weeks now. Still no luck. Thanks.

john muir is currently in the processes of interviewing for the March new grad program. I would expect applications to go up starting in march/april for the august new grad program. John Muir is also having a new grad program in November 2010. SO all in all there will be 3 new grad programs for 2010 john muir.
