I am an IEN (Internationally-Educated Nurse). I am planning to apply for my nursing licensure in California. My question is, what is the safe duration of evidence-of-practice requirement required to meet the licensure requirement?. I haven't practiced as an RN in last 2 years.
Please help. Thank you so much.
For California, there is no "safe duration of evidence-based practice requirement." You basically submit the required documents. You can visit their website for more information. Regardless of how long you haven't practiced as RN in your country, California will accept your application and they do their evaluation if you're eligible or you need classes to take. First step for you to know is to apply and submit the required documents. Good luck!
Dear, thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate it
. Take care.
Hi again, another query - in case I am asked to give an English Proficiency Proof; I already had given IELTS for some other purpose. Can you please let me know what is the IELTS score requirement with California Board of Nursing. Different state seems to have different score requirements, however, I couldn't find the answer to my query. Please help.
I found the following chart interesting, but really no reference to the minimum score required. Saw some references to 6 and 6.5 in other states.
Thank you so much!! The site was helpful in getting idea about other states too. I really appreciate your help. Be blessed.
California doesn't require you to submit an English Proficiency proof. However, California requires you to submit a Certified English Translator form if your education curriculum is not English. Please read more on their website. Good luck.
Thank you so much Dear. Looks like I am good to go
. Have a lovely day ahead. Take care.
