CA is horrible for new grads right now, especially SoCal and all along the coast. You may need to look inland and north to find something.
Also, a lot of hospitals just finished advertising for this round of new grad residencies...they'll probably post again in a few months, so all you can do is check the hospital websites frequently, if not daily.
From an old unemployed New Grad to a newbie, Welcome! You just missed a slew of New Grad deadlines that just happened a while ago. Be patient... this board and other message boards are great to commiserate and get inspiration. The waiting game sucks, but we all must stay positive.
Sometimes, the hospitals will post up New Grad positions, even though they don't have a formal New Grad Program... such as UCI posted one a few days ago.
Wow, I'm already set to move to LA in June to job search in the SD/LA areas. My current job (non-medical) is transferring me to a location down there (which works out). I need a new adventure so I'm going even without an RN job. Apparently, as of recently a handful of my new grad nurse friends have been finding jobs down there... I'm focusing on more inland LA and north/inland county San Diego... Keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks for your reply!

This will be my first RN job. I've been applying for the last month and not one phone call yet! Anyone have any tips or leads? I'm willing to relocate to the LA or San Diego areas.
