You need to define "worth the move", then we can better help you. What specific questions do you have?

ICUman, didn't you live in Utah (I came across a few of your old posts before)? Do you know if Nevada hires new grads from Cali or do they prefer locals?
Are there a lot of job opportunities for nurses there? How do you like the lifestyle overall compared to california..we want to buy a house and start a family and socal is getting very expensive now but everyone tells me crime rate is high and schools are not that good in nevada..i also love the beach in socal so that is something we really have to give up
Hi, Reno might be more new grad friendly, but Las Vegas isn't the "warmest" for new grads. They do get hired with VHS and HCA, though. Shouldn't be terribly difficult to get hired as a new grad in Vegas.
I have never lived in CA, but I have RN experience in NV. Lots of Californians move to NV every month to escape the high cost of living. It's much more affordable. The beach is only a 3-4 hour drive away. Crime rate in Las Vegas, depends on the area but overall it is not a big issue. The pay for RN's in Vegas VS cost of living is pretty favorable.
Thanks man!
