California NCLEX results and the "enforcement department"

Published

I took my NCLEX PN on 5/25/12. I received a letter shortly after graduation (May 27th 2011) asking for a letter from me to explain my traffic tickets. I got certified copies of the tickets and all court papers and wrote a letter of explanation and mailed it in a lonnnng time ago.

I went to the board today to update my address (I live in Sacramento). They said enforcement has my file. When I asked how this will affect my results all they said that the enforcement dept handles that and they don't know anything. They can't confirm if they ever got it or what will happen with my results regarding it. Does anyone know how it works?? I keep calling but I get no answer.

Will I not get my results if they aren't done with my file? Or will I get my results with a bill for my license fee and another request for explanation of my tickets. I don't even know if they ever got everything I mailed in. What happens if they did? What happen if they didn't? I'm dying to know how I did!

I called a few of my fellow classmates (now nurses) and just wanted to share the info I got incase anyone else ever searches this :) You will not hear from the enforcement dept when they receive your documentation. You will get your NCLEX results which will (hopefully) state you passed but your file is still being investigated by the enforcement dept. Shortly after you will receive a letter from the enforcement dept stating if they have approved you or if further action is needed on your part.

Hello

By any chance do you have the direct number to the enforcement department that directs you to *****voicemail?

I had the direct number in which she would return calls that come in the letter that you get but unfortunately I misplaced the letter.
