California NCLEX ATT

Published

Hey all you CA nursing students and new grads!

I graduated mid-December from a nursing school in Virginia and applied for licensure in California. My official date of payment was January 13th and I'm desperately waiting for my ATT - tomorrow marks 9 weeks since I submitted and paid for the application.

For those of you who have recently gotten your ATTs can you give me an idea of how long you waited? I have an offer to start my dream job (mother/baby nurse!) on April 25th but need my license (no interim permits or temporary licenses accepted) before then. Since it apparently takes 2-4 weeks to get your license after you test it's getting down to the wire.

Any words of wisdom or personal anecdotes would be greatly appreciated! This wait has been agonizing!

Thanks!

I graduated mid-December, I submitted my application on December 20, and I got my ATT last friday.

I graduated mid December too, but I applied about mid-late November and got my code to test the second week of February.

Do not quote me. I received my att 6 days before the 12th week waiting period expired. I am a December grad as well. Your 10-12 week waiting period begins the day your application was received (not to be confused with the day you mailed the paperwork if you applied the traditional way). If you submitted via online then it's much quicker. Good luck and all the best. Hope it hits your email sooner.

Thanks so much for the responses! Still waiting on my ATT but I'm hoping to get the email this week. I've heard the email arrives at around 10pm so I've been checking about once every five minutes at that time every night. :p
