Hi, Pls help me with my few questions?

I am an NCLEX and TOEIC passer and the board advised me to submit my SSN before I can get my permanent license, Am I able to get SSN if I will be in USA as tourist Visa?

Is there any chance to change my tourinst visa to a working visa during my stay in USA?

Moved to the International forum. Much has already been written about California suggest doing a search in this forum. Basically Ca may extend your application on a yearly basis but that is individual and you have to writ to them several months before your application expires, alternately apply to anther state and get your NCLEX results moved. You can only get SSN with a valid work visa and there is no way that you can adjust your tourist visa whilst in the US retrogression has been affecting everyone sice Oct 2006 and to adjust visas have to be current and doubt that will ever happen at the moment as demand is higher than visa allocation.

I strongly suggest a good read in this forum on California and retrogression you are both affected
