California license renewal

Hi

My California temprovery license has expiered because I don't have my SSN#.

When I checked it with California BON they said I need to have my continuation of education course done.

I am planning to take up online course.Regarding this I have 3 quick questions.

1 Is online courses are accepted by BON?

2 Which are the colleges that provide continuation of education courses?

3 After comlpeting them what is the procedure to get the license renewed?

Note: I am a RN from India. And in H 4 VISA in bay area California.

CEU's are generally done online but you need to check with Ca on which sites are acceptable. There is medscape that I know off that do CEU but not sure on Ca BRN to accepting them. try a search as I know there are a few threads discussing CEU's in the general nursing forum.

Also you will have to check with BRN on their procedure for renewal and also make sure they haven't destroyed your file as that is what they say happens when you do not provide a SSN.

Oh gosh, there is this one site that lets you do some continuating education by reading some books....I can't remember the name....I will find out within the next couple of days and post it. Good Luck
