CALIFORNIA IV/bloodwithdral CERT. OK in NEW YORK!??

Hello!. i've just got my IV/blood withrawal certificate in california today. but ill be moving to new york in a few weeks, and i was wondering if i could use that certificate in new york state. any answer would be highly appreciated.

I would go to the NY Board website and find out the requirements to get a NY certificate. If the CA nursing license can't be used in NY, then their IV/blood WD certificate wouldn't fly either. But maybe you can easily get a NY certificate. Good luck.

thanks for the reply. California isn't part of the compact states. I had to apply for reciprocity for my LVN license and still waiting for my NY license. But I will call them first thing Monday morning and find out! Thanks again!
