Hey y'all.

I have my boards on election day (November 6th) and since all states are different, I would like to hear about Cali CNA's and their experiences.

So, tell me all about it... I'm excited and nervous...

It's so funny I wrote this 2 years ago, never got a CNA job, and now are in an RN program!

Wow, the places life takes you...

Hello I live in Fresno. Where did you take your CNA class and test at? I'm looking into the Golden Living CNA program. :)

I took it as a nursing course from my local junior college. At the end of the course, the program set up our test at the local red cross.

I looked and it appears only Fresno City College is the only jc in the area. I suggest a JC because they are generally a 5 credit class - which is about $250, as opposed to some other program which will cost up to $3000.

Good luck in your search!

I got my CNA in 2008 and I remember doing range of motion and dressing on weak arm. I just renewed my certification and took the written and skills. I had range of motion, ambutation with gait belt and partial bed bath skills. I passed again. Now I am trying to enroll in a lvn program

Awesome! I take the test for my CNA certificate on May 2nd. I've already started applying for jobs and I've gotten offers left and right, but I still have to wait until I I'm certified before I can accept one. My ultimate goal is to become an LVN by challenging the board after 4 years of working as a CNA. After that, I might do the LVN to bridge to RN.

All the best and thank you for sharing your experience!
