Hello,
I know it's still a bit early, but I was wondering if anyone is applying for the Fall of 2016 program at Calhoun?
It think it would be safe to say that if your application points are in the mid-200's, then you stand a pretty good chance of getting a seat in the evening program and definitely will lock in a daytime program seat. Making a perfect score on the math and science blocks in the tease and getting a near-perfect application score is an anomalous event. One more thing that was said tonight is that the nursing program's teaching philosophy will be moving from the medical to a conceptual approach. The Nursing Chair gave an example that went something like this:
This patient has RSV, what would be causing this person not be taking in enough oxygen? Instead, This person is not taking in enough oxygen and/or nor getting enough perfusion of oxygen throughout the body, how do we need to treat this patient? I guess I can say that in other words there is not going to be a lot of focus on etiology and will focus mainly on physiology and patient treatment, which kinda makes sense I guess.

She said around, that could be lower or higher. Also since it was an info session for the evening program she might have only been referring to the points for it. From what I understand the evening cut off tends to be higher than the day time.
