Caldwell University ABSN 2019

Published

Hi everyone, I didn't see a thread for Caldwells ABSN 2019 cohort, so I thought I would start one. Has anyone applied to the program ?

Girl...I didn’t know that either until after I applied. That’s why I’m so apprehensive now

Did you email and ask how long the program is? Because there’s no definitive answer on the website and it says 2 years under FAQ but I believe that’s talking about the students doing the 4 year BSN because they don’t start the nursing courses (clinicals, etc.) until Junior year.

There are 16 nursing courses so wouldn’t that be 4 semesters (4 courses a semester)? Which would be 15 months if we take classes in the summer. Am I missing something?

I didn’t email them just saw it under FAQs. It does seem that they are referring to the 4 year program but it does say that nursing courses take two years which is what the accelerated program would consist of. If I get an acceptance then I will definitely ask them about this.

I really hope you’re correct.

2 years just seems long for an accelerated program.

Maybe nursing courses take 2 years for the 4 year bsn because undergrad 4 years typically don’t take classes during the summer. Sorry I’m just thinking out loud here. I guess we’ll find out soon enough hopefully!

I’m going to email the lady about this tomorrow and I’ll let you guys know. The seat deposit if you’re not planning to dorm is $450. I wanna ask more questions about the tuition and financial aid, etc.

**** Sorry guys. Deposit for Caldwell is $250. Additional $200 if you’re planning to dorm. My bad lol

Yea that makes more sense!

Could have sworn the ABSN here was just 3 semesters. But it's not totally bad to do a 2-yr absn either since it's easier to fail in a rigorous 1-yr program; so I've heard.

I just got my acceptance today from Caldwell! Has anyone received information regarding the length of the program and tuition costs?

So did I! I think I'm going to shoot them an email. Kind of weird it wasn't included in the packet.
