Caldwell University ABSN NJ 2021

Published

Hi everyone ! I couldn’t find a thread for Caldwell University so here it is ! I sent in my application and I was very happy to see it didn’t require as many pre reqs as other ABSN schools in jersey. Does anyone know much information about the program ? Feel free to chat !

@Veralda Simeon yes I submitted the deposit for saint Peters because at the time I did not receive anything from caldwell. But I am still deciding for which one officially.

Oh OK yea I did the same LOL . I gotta tell them I’m not attending

@Veralda Simeon Oh interesting I see, so they tell you the amount of the loan too. Are they subsidized and then they expect you to get private loans for any remaining? I have no idea yet since I'm still waiting.

@vespin98 Congrats on getting into St. Peter's! That is a very competitive program as they only take about 21 people! Weigh the pros/cons. If Caldwell is much more expensive, St. Peter's is honestly a great option! Factor in anything else important to you like commute time, clinical locations, etc. Not sure if one is necessarily better than the other.

I got subsidized and unsubsitized. I believe the rest I will have to find a loan

@kdm115yes they show everything! Like a break down of every thing you need to know like how much is unsub, sub and what you would have left to pay. As well as any scholarships or grants from them too.

Saint Peters would be around 28,000 for tuition and fees but that is still based on the website. Caldwell is going to be around 36,000 for me for both years.

I heard caldwell clinical is located in the Atlantic health locations like overlook, morristown. Rotates to RWJBH , Saint Barnabas medical center and some nursing homes. For saint Peters its in Hackensack, englewood, holy name , Newark Beth Israel, children's specialized, and jersey city medical center.

So have alot to see and decide !!

@vespin98 That's awesome! They both sound like great options. Wishing you luck on your decision process!

Hey guys! I am committing to Caldwell later on this week. I am looking to live off-campus & am looking for roommate(s). Lmk if you’re interested!

@kdm115 is the caldwell program fall, Spring, Summer, fall? I know before it used to be fall, Spring, fall, Spring.

@vespin98 Yes, the older program was pretty much 2 years as you said. But I confirmed with the advisor and was told it is now Fall, Spring, Summer, Fall.

@Sarah Onwuchekwa Hi Sarah, that's great, how exciting! I'm also attending Caldwell's program if you have any questions.

@kdm115 Are you also looking to live off-campus?
