Calculators during the TEAS test

Published

im taking the test soon! when are you able to use the calculator during the teas test? does the calculator become available at random or during the whole math part or just selected math questions? im not so good with arithmetic, so i worry i might not do so good in the math portion. and any tips regarding on taking the test would be appreciated.

thanks

calculators are not allowed during any part of the test.

You can't use a calculator at all:( sorry

you cant use the calculator at all?! i thought in the computer test in some questions a button can pop up that lets you use a calculator. oh, god. im doomed lol

The math is pretty basic. You can definitely do it without a calculator. Look at the ATI study guide. That's pretty much all that the math is.

Nope, no calculators. We were given pencils and paper. If you can do basic multiplication and division, you'll be fine. :)

No calculators allowed. The only pop up help you get is the periodic table in the science portion.

I was kind of worried about math too -- especially because i usually freak out on timed exams and go blank on stupid things such as multiplication tables and conversion. Know your tables in a blink of eye is extremely important as it saves you time on long divisions and multiplications questions. You can though, somehow "trick" the system. The time on the exam does not start until you hit the "Start Exam" button. So on my exam, I used the scratch paper I was given and wrote down all the multiplication tables (3 to 9) and the rules of conversion of percent to decimal to fraction (see ATI book for rules). This away, if I found myself freaking out and going blank, I could easily go back and look at my notes. It helped me to keep my nerves down. Another advice is to keep your answers in the scratch paper somehow organized. If you have time, you can go back and recheck your work before hit the "finalize exam" button.

Good luck!!
