calculation problem

Can someone please help me with this calculation? I'm not just looking for an answer, but how do you go about getting the answer. Thanks so much

Order: add 2 grams Thiamine to 1000 cc IV fluids

Available: 500 per 5cc

Volume in IV fluid bag 500 cc.

Specializes in Cardiac, ER.

The 500cc bag does matter in that it is only half of what you want the end result to be,...silly question because I'd just add 20cc of Thiamine to a 1000cc bag of whatever,...but assuming some wierd twist of fate that night I only had 500cc bags, then I'd put half the thiamine in one bag and half in the other and hang two bags,..what a pain!
