Hey everyone! I applied to this upcoming cycle about a month ago but I know the deadline just passed. who else applied? I believe we should hear back sometime in late March with official evaluations etc. I signed up for the info session next month as well. good luck!

I think everyone is conditional because there's still the drug screen and background check to pass. This is typical.

Did anyone get an email about the background check and drug screen?

I only got an email saying they are offering conditional admission and I need to pay direct deposit with intent to enroll but did not have any info about drug screen and background check.

Hello everyone, I got an email for my conditional admission to CSUSM ABSN Fall 2018 yesterday. It's good to meet everyone here at allnurses, hopefully I get to know each of you soon!

No, I haven't received any information. I accepted my admission and paid the deposit and my status changed to something afterwards such as Accepted or something. I checked this morning and it was not updated to "Ready to Enroll" which I think means they received my $150. I'm sure they'll be sending out more information regarding drug screen, background, and orientation once people accept their seats and deposits are paid.

Congratulations to everyone that was accepted! I'm pretty sure I'll be accepting the offer, just want to visit the area first and see if I like it as I will have to relocate. Anyone else relocating?

@messiejartin I would be relocating from the LA area. I went to an info session at the Temecula campus this past week and it's definitely a small town vibe. Personally, I plan on finding a spot in Oceanside or somewhere in between as I would prefer to live closer to the beach. I hear great things about Oceanside though and plan to visit soon.

Carlsbad is also very nice if you're looking for an ocean vibe. Parts of Oceanside have high crime rates and gang activity, but other parts are pretty nice, so just be careful of where you pick to live if you choose Oceanside.

I would guess the first wave is complete and in 2-3 weeks once they have everyone's responses, they'll send out a second way.

@inkabruce I'm relocating from the LA area too so part of me is really seeking that smaller town vibe haha. Oceanside is nice, but I second what @SurfCA40 said and just be careful in certain areas. Carlsbad is nice but can get expensive.

Ugh, I can't wait to start! This is seriously so exciting :)
