Hi Everyone! I just applied to CSUSM for the summer 2018 semester! Who else has applied?

When you say they sent out acceptances for the first wave, does that mean there is another wave of acceptances to still be sent for Summer 18? Or how many there might be?

Someone in this forum said that they send out acceptances in different "waves." On an older forum, someone mentioned that the "second wave" happens after people decline their acceptance, so the school accept other students based on how many spots they have left.

For those of us who got accepted, we got our letter around January 23rd and had 2 weeks from the day we got the letter to accept or decline and pay our deposit (I think that brings us around February 6th?). So they should start reaching out to the next round of students sometime after then! Good luck to everyone waiting!!

Wow that's really great! D: I unfortunately have a low 20s score at the moment, and even if I retake my TEAS score and aim for at least a 90, it will only go by up 4 points I believe :(

my over all point was 29....

To those of you who don't get in this time around, don't feel discouraged. I applied last year with 22 points and I did not get in. I took the teas over again and I scored pretty high and raised my points and got in with 29. All things are possible, just remember to never give up and keep trying!

Did anyone's student portal recently update for Summer 2018? I just checked my portal and my status changed to admitted, but I haven't received an email yet, so I don't want to get my hopes up.

Admitted means you are accepted!! :) all of us didn't receive a letter/email until a couple days after the admitted status change. Congratulations!!

There are a few different ways to increase your score, you should ask your counselor what you can do to increase your points. I originally got a C in oral communication and I took a different class within that same category and received an A. Which in turn raised my GPA and also helped me increase my score. (Because you cannot repeat any courses). And I took the teas over and scored an 89% I hope this helps!!

I just read your comment. If you don't mind me asking, how did you studied for the TEAS exam and how many times you took it before obtaining 89%? I just took mine today and got a really low score. If you can please guide me about studying and preparing for Teas, I would appreciate it.

Hello! Where did you take your prerequisites if you don't mind me asking? I am in the same boat where I can't retake classes but would want to increase my gpa
