Cal State San Marcos ABSN summer 2018

Published

Hi Everyone! I just applied to CSUSM for the summer 2018 semester! Who else has applied?

@Jellybeans&

What was your gpa for both core and overall if you don't mind sharing?

Hey Guys!! I took the teas 3 times. this first time I scored a 70% then 73%, and finally an 89% ... I had to think out of the box... I went on youtube and looked for tips and tricks. I found kahn academy on youtube helpful for learning more about the subjects. Also there is this girl Jessica blossom on youtube that had some good tips. The book and online ATI material are simply not enough. However, after studying I took the ATI online practice tests and they were extremely helpful.

Pre-Nursing Core 3.48

Cum GPA 3.18

Teas 89%

I am from san diego, so I took pre reqs at the community colleges palomar, Miramar, and mesa colleges. I ran into a block, because palomar only offered 1 oral communication class, but mesa and Miramar offered 3 different classes to satisfy that requirement. So I took my secondary class at mesa.

Hi everyone! I just found out I was accepted for Summer 2018, so thought I would join the thread and say I can't wait to meet you all!

Hi Everyone! Congrats to everyone! I'm super excited for this program. Is anyone trying to find housing in the Temecula area? I'm trying to relocate from San Diego and I'm hoping to get some leads.

hi! CONGRATS ON THE ACCEPTANCE!!!! Would you be open to sharing your results with us?

I am thinking of applying summer 2019 but my results are not looking too great

Bachelors (in progress): 3.6 ; the last 60 units = 3.8xx

science pre-req: 3.1

TEAS: will be taking soon -- hoping to aim for 85% or higher

Thank you!! Your GPA is great, my pre-nursing GPA was 3.38 and accumulative 3.30, and TEAS 90.7%. You will do great on the exam, the ATI manual really helped me! Best of luck to you! :)

Hi everyone! I am applying for the Spring term but was wondering what the evaluation is based on and how their point system works? (:

GPA and TEAS score. You'll find more info on the schools website.

Does anyone know if it will be worth it to move near the Temecula campus? I know that clinicals can be anywhere from SD to Riverside. I'm weighing the pros and cons but still can't make up my mind. If not I'll be commuting from Oceanside.

Hey! I'll be commuting from Oceanside as well. I work at a hospital and both instructors and students of the program have told me it isn't worth it, because you could have class 1-2 days in Temecula and then clinical 2-3 times a week in San Diego. I personally will commute for lecture and try and set up car pool with others!! I'm sure some will love living close to campus though. No hurt in getting through the first semester and seeing how you feel :)

I agree with @drd18. It's best to check the school's website. They have it broken down on there.

I'm in SD, but plan on moving to Temecula, since it's supposed to be cheaper, and commuting for clinicals. I have friends who live down here so, if need be, I can crash at their place. I'll see how well that works out.
