Hello everyone!
If you're as antsy as I am, this is the thread for you. The submission deadline is this Monday at 8:59PM, so I wanted to open up the thread for this year's applicants. If my research is correct, we should be hearing back in mid-late January about interviews, which feels like an eternity at this point. In the meantime, I'm hoping that this thread can serve to be a great place to ask questions and let go of some of the anxiety that comes with waiting to hear back. I look forward to meeting and hearing from some of my fellow applicants. If you get into any other schools, I would personally love to hear about that too! God Bless everyone and may we all get the good news that we are hoping and praying for. :)
Hi Scali. My undergrad GPA was also really bad (cumulative is less than 3.0). But my last 60 units are amazing and the pre-req i also did really well. My suggestion is that you focus on the current pre-req you're taking to get the good grades. I know they're not focus only on the grades but also you as a person. I would make sure to do a stellar job in my essay and experiences that you have. Please let me know if I can be of more help :)
Hi Nastaishia,
So sorry for the late reply! Ive been busy as heck trying to balance work and retaking my science pre reqs over! I am so happy to hear this. I am shooting for all As, a little hesitant but I know anything higher than what I received before would help me. I am so glad that they look beyond grades too. CBU is my number 1 choice so I am really trying my hardest. App deadlne is oct 1st! I will keep you posted on my status :) May I ask how it is going for you? What do you love about it? Im sure its very challenging.

Hello Scali! I too had a low GPA and had to retake almost all of the pre-reqs, but I got almost all A's after retaking them. The fact that your last 60 units are great will really help as well. In other words, you definitely still have a chance. You're going to see and hear this a lot, but just really know why you want to become a nurse and why you want to be a part of the ELMSN program at Cal Baptist specifically and then the rest is in God's hands. Good luck!
