Im not sure where this schould go but i'll post it here.
I am currently in a BSN program, this is my first semester. I am in a private school and tuition and book costs are just too much, over 25 thousand per year for a 3 year program.
I was wondering what grant and/or scholarships i could apply for. I am a black male students living in california, in a city not too far from los angeles. And i come from a disadvantaged family. Im sure there are lots of grants/scholarships out there but i cant seem to find them. My school financial aid people aren't helping either. Any help appreciated, thanks.

go here www.fastweb.com and use the little sign up thing and it'll match you up to all kinds of scholarships that you can qualify for. you can also try contacting hospitals in your area and see if they offer anything.
i have tried that website but it doesnt seem to help.
Does anybody know something about loan forgiveness? how does that work or any other government grant? grants seem to be my best bet
or any scholarship or grant specific to nursing?

I know that you have already started (and this would probably be a huge hassle for you) but have you perhaps considered community college? Where I go (in Long Beach - it's an ADN program) it only costs about $20/unit, which means the grand total for a semester (not including books) is only about $250. Just something to consider I suppose if you are fretting about the enormous cost of private education. Good luck!
i thought about doing that but i didnt want to spend an extra year in school doing rn to bsn. So there aren't any popular grants or relatively easy to get scholarships out there?
