Hello,

If you are a Nurse in CA I would love for you to fill out my survey! I am working on a research paper for one of my nursing courses. The paper is about physician assisted suicide and California health care workers opinions vs California public opinion. It is a short survey and all responses are anonymous. THANK YOU!!!

To provide some knowledge base on physician assisted suicide:

This is in regards to the Oregon "death with dignity" act that allows physician assisted suicide in Oregon state. Dr. Steinbrook states, "The act permits terminally ill state residents, defined as adults with an illness expected to lead to death within 6 months, to request and receive a prescription for a lethal dose of a medication that they may self administer in order to end their life." (Steinbrook, 2008, p. 2513) -From the New England Journal of Medicine

You understand, of course, that you have absolutely know way of confirming that people are who they claim to be on anonymous internet forums. Right?

this couldn't be used for a research paper. You can't verify anyone responding is a nurse, or a nurse working in California. There are people who write posts here who aren't nurses and might feel that their opinion should influence your paper. That would make any information obtained useless. How about contacting a local hospital and ask an administrator if you could put this request at nursing stations, and have nurses contact you?
