CA NP License Application Time Frame?

So, I have accepted a position as a CT surgery NP at the same hospital I am working as RN. I accepted the position on May 4th. I graduated on May 7th. I took Board on May 19th & passed. I mailed a completed application (school form, check, transcript, etc.) on the same date and BRN received it on May 23rd. It has been 9 weeks!!! They cashed my check on July 19th. I called and they said it would take 16-18 weeks from the time they receive my application. Anyone else is applying & has any insights? Anything I can do to facilitate the process? I called BRN and just got generic answers... Everyone is waiting for me to start so they can start my privilege and orientation process. Thank you.

I applied May 13, 2016 sent in everything as well. The processing time now states they are on March 16-30. I had a interview in Sacramento so I stopped by the BON. Other people in the office checking on applications dated in March. One young lady was told that the hold up for her application was they were missing a 2x2 photo. She gave them a 2x2 photo and was told it would be another 3 weeks. There is no way to get any information because they don't answer the phone. This is the slowest process I have ever dealt with!! People move to Texas everyday and it doesn't take them long at all.

you are right, the board is super slow... now they started doing may grads. So hopefully mine will be done soon. They received my application in June 10. Will keep u posted

Thanks for sharing.

I will graduate from NP program this December, and am planing to apply for CA certification as well. Because my pharmacology was taken in 2012, it would be risky to pass 5 year-limit by May 2017. I am thinking whether should I repeat this course or not. Now based on you guys' posts, I am sure I should do it again to avoid the worst result.

Please keep up posted. Thank you. :)
