CA clinical hours requirement

Hi all!

My daughter and I want to move to CA in a few years after I finish my degree and get licensed in VA (and get experience as an RN of course). My question is, if you do not meet the CA requirements for clinic hours (I think it was 810, my program in VA is like 790), do they take work experience to make up for the deficiency? I am in an associates program here. I'm just trying to get all my ducks lined up so I can apply to get the CA license and therefore an actual job before I move there since I've heard how difficult it is to get hired right now.
