With so many of us unable to get meet the CA BON educational requirements, is there or know of anyone who's PH college or school has been APPROVED by the CA BON board?
Just like how the CA BON has their approved list of CA schools and colleges, I wonder if anyone knows if there's a list of those that do graduate from certain PH schools or colleges are most likely to meet CA's requirements?
It's like if someone graduates from say PH's UE or any of the top 5 PH colleges, it's the same thing as someone graduating from UCLA or Pierce College or San Diego State, you know those CA schools meets the CA requirements and likely to get their ATT 100% of the time.
It just seems so fruitless to even try and wait months knowing that there's a very good chance that to get the ATT from CA is about 99.95%, it's never going to happen unless there's a PH school that does meet all the requirements.
Or maybe there's a "reverse" internal list of PH colleges that the CA BON has and if your application and paperwork comes from that school or college, you're automatically going to get denied immediately anyways. This list is made as the CA BON already knows that particular college will NOT meet the minimum requirements.
Yes, there's always a slight chance that a CA BON evaluator could let someone in error get the ATT, that's like winning the lottery jackpot with 1 in 140,000,000 odds.
Just venting....sorry....

I don't think your suggestion is practical for example, who is going to do a site visit ? Do all of the students of each college will apply for the NCLEX since that is how the academic success is measured?
Would the students know to complain the the CA Board of Nursing if there was an issue.
I think the big take away from this situation, if you are planning on becoming a nurse in CA go to school in CA. You get what you pay for.
Hi Ginger's Mom, in my situation, it's too late to attend a CA school as I already graduated in PH, but also I would have had to enter as an international student in CA.
So I guess with the hundreds of PH colleges, CA BON would have to do some physical inspections and go thru all the PH's curriculum. Oh well...
I did ask in another topic of does anyone know of the actual passing rates of the PH's own nursing license exam? I know it was very low as stated in another topic in the PH nursing forum here....something like 50% or less. I was wondering if anyone has the numbers of the passing rate of the PH's nursing exam top 5 or 10 nursing schools (not of CA's NCLEX)?
