Put in my application today for the Spring 2016 program, now the long wait to find out if I get in!! I will have all of my pre-requisites done by the end of this semester, except for the med class. I'm wondering if I should take that in the summer, will it help my chances of getting in? Thanks and good luck to everyone else who applied!!!
I am not quite sure. I had just registered had to set up a payment plan with financial aid and picked up my books. I was a little overwhelmed with all of the information and costs. I just remember her saying there was one book they didn't have in yet. I'm sure we can call the bookstore and ask.
Never mind just finished first class and glad I didn't buy the book! She teaches from power points listed on Blackboard and I'm pretty confident in my math skills so I don't think I'll need it.
Also turns out I was registered in the wrong 119 section so now I'm in section 401. Also according to the bookstore financial aid only gives you $600 to use at the bookstore....have to call tomorrow and double check that because 1 book alone is $461 and if I have more money available in student loans shouldn't I be able to use it?
I am in 401 too!
If you are getting financial aid through a Pell Grant yes the bookstore voucher maximum is $600. It's kinda crazy if they can see you will have more left over. I am gonna run into the same issue probably. If you have any type of other loan besides the Pell Grant they add an additional amount of $. For loan recipients this is the amounts that my email has listed:
Registered for 6-8 credits…..$300.00
Registered for 9-11 credits…..up to $500.00
Registered for 12 or more credits…..up to $600.00
I'm taking the class now. I ended up buying the book a little while ago so it is what it is. I don't think it can do any harm having it if you have the funds for it. A quiz is given before each semester and you must get a 100 on it in order to move on with the program. I'd say it's worth having if you're someone who may need to look back and review when the time comes for us to take those quizzes.
Hey! Sorry, I was eavesdropping!
I'm going to to Rowan at Gloucester County in which I'm sure is similar to BCC as far as (Nursing) curriculum goes. :)
My semester doesn't start until Fall 2016 but I wanted to get an idea of how much I was going to need to save for books and if I should start studying a little. (I'm nervous about calculations).
Could any of you tell me what books were/are required for your first semester so I can look them up? I tried my schools bookstore website and they keep telling me no books are required! I'm so lost, lol.

I am not sure which one the reading is in. I bought the bundle, as well as the other books that are required. She did tell me that one book was missing. They didn't have it in yet, but they will have it in prior to classes starting. The reading may be in that book.
