Hello, Everyone
I would like to know, has anyone experienced bullying as a student or new grad? Does it still happen? if so how did you handle it? what was the situation. I am a new grad nurse and I wrote my entire Capstone paper on this topic and it's effects on work performance. I am about to enter the real world and want other views on how to handle situations. I am from new York and our personalities are a little rough sometimes and I have run into bullying situations but I couldn't do much as a student.
Thanks :)

If you do a search for bullying or "nurses eat their young" (a phrase I wish would hurry up and disappear already), you will find a wealth of personal anecdotes (not all of which are true examples of bullying) and opinions on the topic. The search bar is located at the top right side of the website just below the yellow bar.
Thanks!!

I experienced it. I quit the ICU because I didn't feel like I was a good employee and went back to the ER where I was previously a medic.
I also experienced in my third job. They are ****** towards new staff. However majority of the staff quit so basically it is a whole new department. If you go by hire dates, I went from bottom 2 to in the top five in terms of department seniority for regular nights.
