Hey Guys!

Applications opened today!! Wanted to start a thread for discussion.

Awesome!! Good luck to you! Are aware of how many positions are open or the name of the person you are interviewing

Also any times from anyone in regards to the actual interview?? What has one been like? Anything I can do to prep?

No I forgot to ask on the phone. I've never interviewed with Baylor before so it's something new for me

Same! Spelling error on my last post, I meant...

Also any TIPS from anyone in regards to the actual interview? What has one been like? Anything I can do to prep?

Hopefully someone has gone through process will respond for us @TXSRN401. Always nice to hear from someone who has been through it to calm the nerves! lol

Hey everyone. I have an offer from BUMC ED! My interview was panel style with mostly 'Tell me about a time' questions along with a situation question they read to you & you have to say how you would respond.

My tips for preparing are to re-read your nursing journals if you had any or take time to brainstorm your best/interesting experiences and write them down. Identify times that were important or memorable!

Be yourself & let them get to know you. My panel was very personable.

If you have an interview, clearly you have the credentials to potentially be a part of the program, so let them get to know you as an individual beyond the paper resume you submitted.

Good luck :)

SO AWESOME! Congrats @RM214102!!

Thank you so much for the insight as well. It really helps to ease the nerves!

I turned down a position with Seton for this interview with BSWH, so hopefully I made the right decision (':

Do you have any specific certifications like AVLS or PALS yet?

Also does anyone know if the internship at Baylor is a specific pay per month or do we start out at an hourly RN pay? I know HCA does $1000 every other week and wasn't sure if it's the same for Baylor

I only have BLS from the AHA. A friend did this exact residency & told me she did her ACLS/PALS through Baylor once she was hired on. The pay is hourly with differentials.

Do you know what the starting pay is

I am not sure it's appropriate to share personal pay levels, but in my opinion the pay is reasonable & very comparable to other nurse residencies in the Dallas area :) There are built in incentives as well

And I only have my BLS through AHA as well.

I was told we would be able to obtain our ACLS through them once we're hired on! (:
