BSWH Residency Fall 2018

Hi All,

Anybody applied or applying to BSWH for the fall 2018 residency? Just wanted to start a thread to facilitate discussion.

I'm just wondering when the actual interviews will be. Was anyone told?

The recruiter emailed me today to set up a call. I applied for the Fort Worth location.

I did not get a rejection email, but I haven't heard back from them. I submitted my resume about a week ago. I am anxiously waiting!! Good Luck!

A recruiter called me for what I thought would be to set up an interview but then he told me all the spots in Fort Worth were filled and that they started interviewing and hiring the first two weeks. He was only calling to see if I wanted to work at another location, even though he told me most spots were already filled. He said they really only look for people who have patient care tech and customer service experience (which I do have, just didn't want to put every part time job I worked in college on my resume). He was very rude and seemed to care less about helping me. Didn't even have my profile pulled up as he had to email me for my phone number and asked me to spell my last name. It was a bad experience, so maybe a blessing I didn't end up interviewing for them. I guess they send the digital interviews out to a lot of people they aren't planning on hiring and you don't get first dibs on the hospital you actually apply to.

Wow...seriously?? I didnt put all my part time customer experience information either since it wasn't directly related to nursing. Goodness gracious.. I don't know what I'm going to do if no one calls me.

For those who applied for critical care, what responses have you received?

I haven't received anything and am trying to decide if I should look into applying for other jobs if they have already started interviewing or at least done video interviews

Hello, I'm assuming you've accepted a position. Can you tell me what was the next step upon accepting your offer? I just got offered a position at BUMC.

Did you get an offer at the end of your interview? If not, how long did it take to hear back from them? I just interviewed today. Does the unit manager contact you or the recruiter?

I got called the next day. The manager told me they would be calling me within 1-2 days. The recruiter contacts you about offers.
