BSN student to military

I am currently in the process of obtaining my BSN. I am very interested in joint the military after finishing my BSN. I would like any advise or tips from anyone that took a similar route. I am focused on Air Force and Navy but I am willing to explore other branches. I am also torn between Active Duty and Reserve. I am from the New Orleans area and would love to stay near my family but I am also looking for career advancement and taking full advantage of any educational opportunities and tuition help I can get.
