Is it true that you can use your BSN in the Phils. here in the USA. According to my DON, whos is also a Filipino, I am already a BSN here because I graduated as a BSN in the Phils. Is that true?
there are in fact lot of american citizens (mostly are of Filipino decent who happens to have dual citizenship) who are taking up BSN right now in the Philippines. It's way cheaper here. Phil-BSN is recognized by US because our curriculum is patterned with International Council of Nurses (ICN) recommendation.
Not all BSN programs are accepted for licensure in the US, there are some that do not meet the class requirements by a specific Board of Nursing.
We have actually seen it happen multiple times with CA.
A BSN is a BSN, no matter where is was obtained. There is no reason to get another BSN here.

Did I get it right? You can take NCLEX without a BSN degree? Anyone, kindly enlighten me on this? The poster is a US-RN without a BSN?
