BSN-MSN info??

Hi all,

I am currently about to finish up my BSN through University of Phoenix. I am looking to get my MS in Nursing Education once I receive the BSN. I have been happy with my experience there, but the cost is pretty spendy. I have heard good things about WGU and how it is less expensive the more quickly you can get the coursework finished. What are the clinical requirements for the MSN? Any opinions on how knowledgeable advisors are? Some of the academic advisors at UOP didn't seem like they knew much about the RN-BSN and that was kind of frustrating, initially.

I personally can not and will not recommend WGU for the MSN, only based on my own personal experience. The BSN was fantastic, and I would do it again. MSN? No way in hell.....

The program was supposed to change, and didn't. My mentor lied about this repeatedly and I never did get a straight answer from her. Even when I recorded her and played the info back to her.

Then there was one class that the class mentor WOULD NOT communicate with me on. At all. I sent numerous emails, phone calls, etc.

I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Dept of Education because they want me to take a fail on that particular class. I said no way, and am working through the process now. I say stay away, but YMMV. It is a go at your own pace program, and it may work for you.
