Hello.. Any fellow BSN III students here? Class of 2008, hopefully? Can you share some insights regarding ur subjects (prom&prev or maternal & child?), clinical rotations, minor subjects and the like... Hope to hear from all of you soon.. and maybe we can find ways to help one another... Thanks!

I just want to mingle with the juniors! Advice, be very very very patient in reading your lessons! It is the only way that you can pass this course! And of course, LOVE what you are doing and STOP thinking about the MONEY! Nursing is a calling and if you are called for the VISA, sure your not gonna make it to the top.. Wherever you go, just don't mind the salary, its the service your rendering to other people. Wag mong sayangin ang sinimulan ni Florence Nightingale!!!
Advice sa MCN, take it easy! If maternal is the topic think of your mother and apply to her case. If pediatrics is the topic think of your younger brother or any child lingering you! Use your critical and logical thinking! :roll

hi! im a second deg 3rd year student.
our CI asked us to make a child development scrapbook as part of our ORLE, and so i made my only daughter as my subject.
But just realized that ive missed so many things during my daughter's growing up years (im a working mom) like first dentition, date of completion of primary teeth, first turn, weight and height during infancy, toddler....etc etc...wish ive known of these things before..LOL....
so i promised my officemates to share with them my pedia notes so they wont missed anything....
wonder what my CI will say if she will notice my incomplete chart???? hahaha...

Thanks for ur advice... Coming from the AHSE curriculum, our 3rd yr came in very different, a lot hardER that is.. from health care, to nursing fundamentals, and now.. MCN.. Although I'm a second courser, I was still quite surprised with our truckload of lessons and exposures. hehe.. i don't know if its just me, but all of our CI's are telling us that level 3 is the hardest, i just can't prove it as of now..
A balance between reading our lessons and rendering patient care during our clinicals.. i think that's what we need... Thanks again!!!

Hi... my attention was caught by ur post, i think nursing exposes us to a world we've never seen before. Though i'm a male second courser, we also have second courser moms at our MCN class... They're the ones who can relate very well with every topic. Almost every meeting, there's a mom that'll share her own experience... Which makes our class more lively, fun and reality-based...
