BSN GPA and scholarships/NP school

Published

Hi everyone,

My GPA post-high school is like a 3.95, including some college courses I took in HS is a 3.8. This semester, however, I'm taking anatomy, microbiology and physiology at the same time. I accidentally missed a quiz in anatomy.. this incident, plus the difficulty of the coursework and general laziness this semester (second semester sophomore year) has made my grades drop. I'll likely end up with Bs/B+s in my classes this semester. This will impact grad school admission.

I really want to get into a good PMHNP MSN program after I graduate and be competitive for large scholarships, like the government health corps one. I'm wondering how much a 3.0-3.3 GPA one semester will harm me.

Cumulative is generally what everyone looks at.
