Hello all,
My name is Jenna and I have graduated with my BSN in April of 2015 and have been an ER RN since June 2015. I am looking to go back for my MSN. There are two very different pathways I am looking for, education because I love to me for and help students and I am slo looking at CRNA to be a nurse anesthetist because of the unique challenge it brings. I have a year to think before going back to school and I was curious if I could have some advice from those who are on either career path. It's a difficult choice.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Jenna BSN, RN
Lunah, MSN, RN

What kind of ED do you work in? Many CRNA programs want to see ICU experience or a lot of high acuity patients in your ED experience, and won't admit you otherwise. Some food for thought. :)
Dang then I would need to do ICU! That's what I'm hearing anyway. Our ED is smaller than most. We are level III trauma and a stroke center. Yeah, seems pretty intense within that area.
Yep, and a CCRN cert would look good too. Very different path than education. Give yourself time to become experienced first!
Thank you so much for your input! Yes, definitely will need much more experience of I choose this path. :)
