Can't wait to meet some of you on campus!

City-- No, to be clinically ready, you need to have your prereqs, from my understanding; and it helps to have your lower division core reqs completed. There is room within the freshman year to take these, but to lessen your load it is 'suggested' to you have your lower division cores completed.

You do have upper division cores, which, from what I can recall, is your (2) philosophy and theology, in addition to your service learning experience.

As far as the written communication, you do need a R&C class before your junior year, so this can be completed at first semester at USF.

I believe it can be completed on 6 semesters, depending how much you have completed prior to transfer.

Again, this is information is based on what I recall from the informational meeting, the website, and the Bachelor curriculum plan.

Did your letter state, "You will be ready Spring 2010"?

yep it did. did yours?

ya im thinking a lot less because i have a lot of the like lower GE classes done already but they're not syncing up on my degree evaluation thing on USFconnect. im gonna ask them about it later when i go up in a few weeks.

Yes, it did. When I start the program, I will need to work on History, Lit, RC 250 (?) for Fall; all others, Philos/Theo/SL will have to wait, I guess.

If you have a pdf program, you can read this to help, not sure if you already have it. http://www.usfca.edu/webtrack/pdf/Nursing_curriculum.pdf

Hope this helps as an idea of what the semesters will be like.

I am excited....

ya i already have this. a counselor gave it to me already lol

idk i'll figure out my whole schedule thing defiantly before registration

Yes, it said I would be ready for clinicals in the spring, but my degree will take 7 semesters to complete. Is this standard that clinicals start in the Spring? I have finished all of me pre-reqs and most of my core classes with the exception of philosophy r&c. I guess I will take these two classes Fall semester and start my nursing classes spring 2011

Not sure if it is standard, because I read, at some point, that admitted students had to wait a year to enter into clinicals. I am on the same boat as you, just a few classes, so I am excited about that--I can jump right into the hand-on stuff.

Specializes in Dermatology.
