Jan 28, 201610 yr I just graduated in December 2015, took the NCLEX 01/19 & received my license on 01/21! Ive been too excited I wanted to share so you know what a great program it is! The schedule varies with every class! As an LVN, you'll enter with the non-LVNs at the start of Complex. Our med-surg is devided into commons, complex, then advance. I can't remember if complex was 3 day lecture or 2 but definitely 2 day clinicals which is usually 0645-1300ish depending on how long post conference is! But it like I said each class varies. Sometimes you'll have 1 day off during the week, others 2 days. If you work, youll definitely need flexible hours but it's "doable".
Jan 28, 201610 yr @newbienurse227 Congrats! Any advice for those who get accepted? Do you think the school prepared you well for NCLEX or you used other sources? Thank you for the information. I also applied to UIW but think Baptist is more for me. I have 2 kids and I do not want to be in debt.
Jan 28, 201610 yr Yes they did prepare me but you also have to do a lot of your own part. Meaning study, read & specifically for NCLEX work with your studying style. I used UWORLD.com & just took a number of 75 question quizzes & studied the rationales. Highly recommended that site!
