Broward College May 2017

Published

Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.

Your GPA is good, you don't have nothing to worry about! I do not know any one in the program. I haven't started any reading yet, have you? I would like to attend central but if not then north it is.

If AND WHEN I GET AN A in English lol I will have a 3.6 or so gpa. I'm thinking they are going to push it back because less apply around that time due to the fast pace. Do you know anyone in the program? Are you doing any reading as of yet? What campus are you trying to attend?

Yea my gpa is good but you never know what range of gpa's there going to get in this upcoming term. I have started reading vital signs. I need to be prepared as possible and try to be as less overwhelmed as possible or at least try. So i figured if I keep going over it and watching you tube vids when lecture starts i hopefully have a good handle on the information. North is my first campus of choice being that its like 5 min from my house. Central is my second option I love that the school has that sim lab and it feels more like a university

Vital signs is super easy, practice them when you get your stethoscope and you'll have them down packed. I may start reading some stuff after I finish this class.

SIM lab at central is amazingg, I walk by it every time I go to class just to stare lol. Let us pray for this semester.

Yes I learned some of the vital signs when it was required for future nursing students to take the health assessment class or what ever it was called. You make me want to go to that campus just for sim lab lol. I hear so many horror stories about Central Campus of course you cant listen to those. Do you know if the other campuses use that sim lab?

Lol that is why I want to go to central but I believe all campuses use it. The horror stories don't scare me because it can be prevented if you focus. Many succeed in the program and do not fail out. I'm sure it depends on their dedication. If I get accepted I won't play any games even if that means not working to ensure that, which will be very hard.

yes it will defiantly be hard to not work thats why i need to save and apply for all types of scholorships. I want to keep in contact with people who have the same goal and perseverance that I have for this program thats important i think. I've been trying to become a nurse for a long time and i'm so close. I'm praying that once we are accepted that the lord makes a way and guides us to the finish line. What I don't like is that is that Broward accepts so00 many nursing students and not even half survive its crazy. I wish i could talk to all the nurses that have made it just to get an insight and gain some of their tips and tricks.

I have been trying to become a nurse for the last 2 years so I for sure understand I'm very close this time than before so I pray. A lot of the nurses who have made it, post on some forums with useful tips that I have seen, so that gives me hope. I'm sure May is ours, I feel very confident and idk why lol.

yes i feel the same way thats why im going to start buying things now lol. One of the first things im buying is a planner. I've never used them through out my college career so far, but I've heard so many nursing students say its defiantly needed. I'm so ready for march to get here. I need to know already. I think i had severe anxiety last term. Do you have any other choices as far as schools go?

I have a planner and it is soooooo helpful. I feel organized lol. If BC does not work out I do have another school I plan on applying for, Chamberlain. In fact, I am taking certain classes for them now also.

I always keep everything in my head when it comes to bills, classwork, and other activities. However since time management is so important I want to plan out everything. when I need to study certain things, complete certain assignments etc. Will you be going to Chamberlain if you don't god forbid get accepted into the program for may or are you going to try again in August? I really wish I could go there BSN in 2 years sounds AWESOME!!
