Anyone else palnning on applying for May 2011. Im currently in the process of transferring back to broward and I am planning on applying for May. I have all my pre-reqs done and I already took and passed the HESI, and I also have HOSA so I think I may be in a good position(fingers crossed). I just need to take Micro & I plan on taking that in the winter term. If anyone can recommend a teacher I would greatly appreciate it.

hey may hopefuls !!!

do you know which campuses admit in may?

hi tropicbarbie32,

i talked to admissions last week to clarify and they advised as of now only north campus will be taking applicants for may. i was hoping central would accept applicants also because it is closer for me but i will drive to north if i have too. i already took the hesi in sept and did really well on all sections except grammar i got a 78 and like you i was going to retake that section but i went and spoke with health science admissions at central and she told that was passing so i dont have to retake it again and i was so thankful. good luck on your retake! and hopefully these next few months will go by quickly

hey couturediva, fairnm,ziahn1,

hi my fellow bcc may applicants !!!!

well i applied to the january program and recieved not accepted-space avail:down:.

i have my pre-reqs completed, i toke the hsc course at sheridan, i dont have the hosa points,

i toke the hesi and did really well on the reading, grammer and voc. im going to retake the math and a&p

sections , i'm thinking of the end of the month at florida atlantic university (i might see you there couturediva !) .the review book is good but i was too cocky to study the math portion.(bad move).

my suggestion is to study the hesi hints and also review your a&p lab book.

cant wait to meet you guys @ may orientation !!!

if you dont mind my asking what was your score on the math and ap

hey missy23pap,

the math was a 74, and the a&p was a 79

hey couturediva,

did u turn in your application yet?

hey missy23pap,

the math was a 74, and the a&p was a 79

try to get an 80 or above on the math......i scored 76 on a&p and was accepted. a&p was actually my lowest score.

good luck

hey couturediva,

did u turn in your application yet?

no, not yet i'm planning to drop it off one day next week

try to get an 80 or above on the math......i scored 76 on a&p and was accepted. a&p was actually my lowest score.

good luck

thanks!!!

any tips on boosting my score?

I would suggest just keep going over everything in the book. Thats the only information I reviewed and I got a 92 on the math. And when doing the test take your time because with Math it is easy to make silly mistakes. When it came to the AP portion I just finished AP II over the summer and alot it was memory for me so no real suggestions for that section

thanks!!!

any tips on boosting my score?

ratio's..ratio's... fraction..that was the bulk of the math test. i can understand why they place extra emphasis on math. i'm reviewing dosage calculation and its pretty much ratios. i think i would of scored a 90 on the math if it wasn't for the fill in section; darn decimals.

don't stress out over points.....i only had 5 points, have faith and believe in yourself, getting in is half the battle.

:)

They said we would have to wait 30 days after the application deadlines to find out if we get in, im not that patient.lol but i have heard alot of great things about north campus

Just dropped off my application today so I guess not the waiting game begins..lol

Hey

i was wondering can you submit your application even if you have not met the minimum requirement for one of the HESI sections? I feel as if i will have to take the A&P portion of the exam again, but i would like to get my application in and then retake that portion. Do you know if this is possible?
