I did not see a forum but I decided to create one. Anyone applying to Broward College's nursing program for the Summer Term 2020?

Hey! According to Nichole, the pre-admission meeting has been cancelled and she will be emailing us updates regarding the next steps.

Emails were sent yesterday and again today letting everyone know the sessions were cancelled. Please do not show up at central campus. You will be asked to leave.

We are going to be working remote until further notice.

Hello everyone, hope your keeping safe. Has anyone received the pre-admissions information email? Also, yesterday Governor Ron Desantis has prohibited healthcare practitioners, offices from providing any medically unnecessary, non emergency procedures. I believe that physicals would be concidered non-emergency. I'm very worried.

I just sent out another update. Please be patient with us as we navigate these unfamiliar waters. We are all aware that there are stipulations and closures being reported everyday. I am in constant communication with the Nursing Leadership team and will be sending updates as soon as I receive the information.

There is no need to stress yourself anymore than everyone already is.

As for your physical, call your physicians office. Most doctors offices are still running business as usual with slight modifications (less appointments during the day, etc). From our understanding, the declaration by the Governor is for elective surgeries and medical procedures. It doesn't hurt to check with your doctor.

I have a questions for new applicants to the Summer transition program. Will acceptance and start date be delayed now or go on as scheduled remotely as well?

Decisions will be out within the 30 business day window. Transition will be remote like generic.

Hello, I applied to the lpn to RN transition program and I was confused as to why my current status is “requires supplemental application” when I submitted everything and none of my points show up on the application.

We are in the process of making sure everyones app is updated before we send out decisions. We have 30 business days to process all apps and make decisions. Please watch your BC email for any updates we send.
