Broward College August 2012

Hi! This is a thread for anyone applying for August 2012 class at Broward College for the generic nursing track. I deferred my seat so I will be starting in August. I haven't decided if I want to go to central or south yet.. I'm super excited about starting in August! If I could help anyone with anything feel free to ask! :)

I'm not sure what ways more the hesi or the points. I'm thinking the points so you should be accepted. I finished the last of my classes for my AA so i have norhing to occupy my mind except for my kids. Good luck to you
Ur lucky, kids would be a really good distraction. I really dont want to take classes this summer. I just want to relax and start reading those nursing books. But I have to take microbiology...:no:

Hi, I also deferred from May. Now that micro is over just realized there was new thread for August 2012. Good luck to everybody waiting for an acceptance letter.

Good luck all!!! I wont be able to make the May 15th deadline :(

I will try for next semester though. I am also looking into PBSC part time RN program, so I am going to make it work somehow, and get in RN school....not giving up...good luck once again guys :D

well im still waiting for my letter.... but how was micro over all because i just started taking it and starting to think twice with the prof that i have

Micro was harder than A&P in the beginning, it's alot of new material, but after the first few chapters it was much better. I had a tough professor that everybody warned me was impossible for lecture, but I was fine with her, got an A in both lecture and lab.

I was just reading on another post about certification. I have my CNA license and phlebotomy certificate. Should I have turned that in with my application. Will that boost my chances of being accepted? I was so excited about finally turning in my application it completely slipped my mind.

If you have your cna license then I think that would have exempted you from the hcp class. Since you turned in yr application I'm assuming you received an exemption (so they'll need the license to confirm) or you did the class already and they won't need it, it will have no effect on your application as they only use the point system (gpa, hosa, residency) and hesi but these things will defiantly help in the program.
