Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)
Hello Guys!I'm registered at South Campus, doing Option A, and I picked Tuesdays for my clinicals/Lab days. Just putting it out there since some friends of mine already in the program said it is vital to make a study group during the first two weeks!
I had to go onto campus to register - thought it would be a madhouse at 8am but there was only one other person there. An Advisor signed me up for my classes and I was out in under five minutes - So glad this part is out of the way! Feel relieved!
I saw a few people mention something about the South Campus clinicals and how they were only one day a week and not two like Central/North. (I honestly didn't look at the other campus's registration sheets because I was only interested in going to South…) However, the advisor who registered me for classes did mention that for the lab/clinical class, even though the paper says it's only Tuesday or Wednesday, for the first FOUR weeks, we have to come to campus on BOTH Tuesday and Wednesday for the on campus clinical labs before we go out to the hospitals for the other four weeks, and then we would only go on our respective day that we registered for. Hope this is helpful. (I don't know if why we only go 1 verse the 2 for the other campuses, maybe because we have the full 12 hour shifts? No doubt we will find out in class of course all the details..)
Hey I also am going to south option a and tuesday my prime day..... did you buy any books ? I saw the list of books for the classes seems like a lot?
I'm not sure which Quest you guys used, but I went to the Plantation location around 9:45 today and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I don't know if it was the location, the time, or the day, but it worked out well.
That fingerprinting place... whoa. They did not seem friendly. The younger girl was nice once we got to the back, but the older lady was really short whenever she said anything. They also couldn't get good prints on three of my fingers. I paid an extra $5 for a backup set because they said my originals would probably be rejected... =/ They said my backups will probably be rejected too. Something about the moisture on my hands. Apparently if the second set doesn't work, they do a name search. Idk...
