Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)
There were 400 applicants competing for 300 seats in the August 2015 Registered Nursing (AS) class. Three hundred (300) applicants were selected who earned between 4 and 16 total points and had pre-requisite GPA's between 2.8 and 4.0. Alternates are selected to fill any seats that become available. Alternates earned between 2 and 3 total points, and had pre-requisite GPA's between 2.6 and 2.79. In this class, there are ****30 alternates. This number accounts for 10% of the seats being offered.
I say these are pretty good odds. Congrats everyone!
It says a date. I meant it didn't give options for a campus. It only said Central. July 10 @ 9am.
Yes, the campus location for the information session does not mean that this will be your campus for the program. It's just where they are hosting it. At orientation, you will be able to sign the contract and choose a campus. :)

I know. I figured everyone had to go to Central for that. :) I'm guessing having an earlier orientation is good, since it means I'm likely to get my first choice for campus...

Where did you hear this? I applied and have way above those GPAs but applied this week which is why I have not heard back... not sure if your info is accurate.

Hi everyone! Just a little heads up! MAKE SURE YOU REPLY BACK TO THE EMAIL CONFIRMING THAT YOU WILL ATTEND! Otherwise, they will think you are not attending the information session and they will give your seat to an alternate. REPLY, REPLY, REPLY!
