Broward August 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

I read the vitals chapter, and the patient safety chapter. Took notes, made some flash cards.. Did the STAT homework..

Central students. Are you guys reading before class? If so, where did you start?!

It's 4:56 in the morning and I can't seem to shut my eyes. The nerves have officially, officially kicked ALL the way in. Our journeys start tomorrow, everyone.. Now it's time to seriously put on our game faces... Again, I have trust and faith in us all. Say this with me everyone, I WILL NOT PROCRASTINATE! I WILL NOT PROCRASTINATE! Lol! But seriously, time will wait for no one. I pray we all start off strong and finish stronger..

Side note: CENTRAL peers, our Theory orientation starts at 9:00am on the dot.. Any thoughts on meeting up early?

Right there with you girl. Everyone...enjoy today. Breathe and relax. Have your papers and bookbag ready tonight. So we have one less thing to worry about in the morning. We have come SO far. Each one of us through our own different struggles.. I have no doubt in my mind that we will kick butt this semester and EVERY semester. So proud of everyone. Thank you all for your encouragement:) I cant tell everyone here will make a great nurse. 💗

I'm at central and I was planning on getting there early. I really want to try to get a study group together fast, because I hear it important to do that early.

The anxiety is real. Relax and enjoy the day everyone. Say some prayers lol

I'm hoping to be there before 8am. Don't wanna fight traffic or parking on the first day.

I'm sooooo excited I can't wait to see everyone tomorrow:up:. Is everyone bringing all the books needed by the 24th from the syllabus?? (Central Campus)

Hi you all! I know everyone is bouncing to and fro lol about tomorrow and getting ready ! Stay calm and relax. To calm those nerves!

So I'm sorry but I got confused so it is mandatory to wear all white shoes on the first day ? cause I know I seen in previous comments that we wear whatever color the first day and wear white shoes for clinicals. Cause I didn't see anywhere in the syllabus where it said we were supposed to wear white shoes to lecture.

Also did you guys notice the 5 hour lab thing for this Friday we had to do? I wonder what that is. Cause they say it's mandatory...
