Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Well my sister started in may of 2015. So she would be one semester ahead of me. I will read the textbook religiously. Make flashcards and I will record Kali. I have reserved Friday Saturday and Sunday days I will be doing 9-5 shifts at the library! Lol

P.s my sister passed the first semester with flying colors ;)

Anyone working while in the program?

I'm keeping my serving job Saturday and Sunday nights, I figure if I dedicate any free time Monday thru Friday at the library studying I should be able to make it working 2 nights. However, I have every intention of stopping working if I feel necessary.

I am definitely planning on living at library, too! I'll pack breakfast, lunch, and dinner! No excuses! Haha!

I lost my job which was mon-fri. I am hoping I can get a weekend job though to carry me through. I need the income.

I still need to decide on a bag. Is anybody else having this dilemma? I know a rolling backpack is best but....

I also will be working part time two nights a week. (yes 12 hour shifts) lol but I have to for the money. I just got a new apartment . also I'm getting a rolling bag I heard its the best with all the books and supplies we have to carry.

I sucked up my pride and bought the rolling backpack too. It's High Sierra brand on Amazon. $66. Not the cutest thing but had good reviews and has the pockets for pens, phones, etc. plus padding in the middle for a laptop

anyone have the reading list for first semester at central? It has the objectives, etc. in the syllabus we received, but no specific chapters/pages...

No offense to anyone but I honestly don't see what all the fuss about Kali is about . Just because one person likes Fola or this person passed her class doesn't mean you will . I honestly don't care that I have Kali . I'm going to work my ass off & make sure I do what I have to do to get through nursing . I refuse to let a teacher make or break me . I want us all to do good . Don't let this teacher stuff throw yall off . Just my opinion .
