Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Thats my issue, I ran out of Pell grants too for undergraduate. And on top of that, I'm maxed on loans as well. So sounds like the same boat. I know I qualify for income so thats good news. I plan on going on Tuesday. Thanks for the info =)

Yes, i bought them all. Like someone else posted, I'm not taking chances, rather be overly prepared. If anything, can always resell them. Plus, the syllabus we received in the e-mail does say we need those additional books by September 4th

On the first day of clinical the student must present a Health Portfolio Profile in a plastic binder with a copy of the BC portfolio checklist, FILLED OUT WITH EXPIRATION DATES. Any student who does not have a complete up to date Health Portfolio Profile will be sent home, not continue for the current semester and will be re-tracked back into the program. The Profile must be in a binder, with the following:

No we don't Wooniecakes. At north we subit two folders with copies. No need to bring an additional folder to lab unless instructed to do so

Yeah, sorry it's been so hectic, I'm sure you all are too. And I'm working my butt off trying to save before school starts. I stayed up so late last night getting all my paperwork for wia tuesday, thanks. I did cpr at paramount this morning. Someone else on here recommended it. If anyone hasn't done it yet I highly recommend. Much cheaper than broward, $45 and you don't need a book or valve and you do get the card we need on the spot.

I'm so frustrated that south campus' orientation is just 3 days before school starts. I have so many questions!

Other campuses what did they tell you about the white sneakers? I called south campus today the gentleman I spoke to states that he recommends the no brand white tennis shoes like from Payless. What have they told you guys about this. I'm concerned they won't be comfortable. I asked specifically about the new balance shoes with like a white N on the side he said those are a no go. I asked if we need to wear white sneakers on lab days and lectures he said yes but I'm still going to ask in orientation.

I also asked about the white nurse lab coat and polo shirt. He confirmed with the dean and said these are optional for purchase but we must buy the scrubs from the bookstore.
